Another adventurous holiday week in Minsk
The house in Minsk, known by Irish people as Dom Zara opened its doors for a group of young adults from Cherven orphanage from the 16th up to the 21st . It also welcomed a group of girls, Irish volunteers of the “Roche” pharmaceutical, Co. Clare, Ireland, who came to support this little project.
The week went really well although the time flew so fast. Lots of entertainments: mostly same programme – circus, 3D cinema, Gorky amusement park, night tour of Minsk, observation platform at the National Library, House of Mercy, Hill of Glory, dolphin show, Zoo, discos in the house and a crazy visit of a magician!
Every new group of children and every new group of volunteers is like a new world, new life, new emotions! They fell in love with each other and would never get apart!
Happy faces of the young boys and girls were a very vivid proof that they love their holidays. All the amusement and trips were new to them, were something different from their routine in the orphanage and helped them feel important and like a real adventurer!
We can only say that everybody was very, very happy – the kids, the volunteers and the workers of the Fund. From the bottom of our hearts we say thank you very much to the girls – volunteers of “Roche”, to the Burren Chernobyl Project, who partly sponsored the week, the workers of the “Dobra tut” Fund. And to the kids, you were lovely!!!!!
Looking forward to new meetings next year!
